Depending on whether you're looking to earn extra money quickly or build a long-term income stream, each of the following websites offers unique advantages (and sometimes flaws) tailored to different needs and interests. Read on for more information on each website.
Fever
How it works: This is a popular website that can be useful for freelancers. Do you know anything about digital animation? You can work for someone who doesn't have these skills and collect some extra cash. Better yet, you can view someone's web research compilation.
Highlights: You can make good money from the site, says Dan Puccio, a web designer and digital strategist in Albany, New York, who runs a two-person company called Bocain Designs. He says his company earns $3,000 to $5,000 a month from Fiverr. "To stay ahead of the competition, I make sure my Fiverr profile and party descriptions are well written and communicate the value of the services I offer. When someone contacts me, I make sure to respond as soon as possible and follow up with a query by asking good questions. A quick but carefully written response will significantly increase their chances of hiring you, "says Buccio.
Disadvantages: Regardless of Bochichio's success, the name Fiverr comes from the fact that many people used to work for $5 a task. You can order more (and arguably should), but a lot of your potential customers may expect low rates.
Investing in time: Maybe big. For example, if you're asked to create a short digital animation, it's not something you'll set up in 20 minutes. Highlights: Upwork takes a commission from 5% to 20%, but the more money you make, the less commission you pay.
Disadvantages: Upwork is popular, so there is a lot of competition on the website, and that can be a real disadvantage for new people in Upwork, says Sasha Darusa, owner of a digital marketing agency in Toronto called The Shirtless Web Guy.
"Before I started my web design work, I created profiles on websites like Upwork. Initially, it was difficult to attract any interest from buyers on those platforms because there is a lot of competition. Much of the competition was from abroad, which made it impossible for me to compete with others for the price. "

Etsy
How it works: If you're an artistic person who can make custom jewelry or refrigerator magnets, Etsy is the place to sell your products.
Highlights: Easy to navigate the site and create a store.
Disadvantages: There is a lot of competition on Etsy. On the one hand, many people know about Etsy. But once you put your goods, as with Upwork and Fiverr, you're among the dozens of people selling things on Etsy. It might seem a little overwhelming.
Investing in time: What speed does it take to make custom jewelry or refrigerator magnets? It will work at your own pace, so depending on what you make or sell, it can take a week, or it can take a few hours. In general, you get your money about three days after your point of sale. After three months on Etsy, you will start getting paid the next working day.
TaskRabbit
How does it work: Are you ready to contaminate your hands? People come to this site to find those who want to do different tasks, such as assembling a bookcase, cleaning a garage, or running a task. Do as many tasks as you like, and this may become a part-time (or full-time) job.
Highlights: You can apply for tasks, but you can also create a profile, explain what tasks you are skilled in, and people may look for you to work.
Disadvantages: A lot of the tasks you'll find on TaskRabbit are, as noted, material - such as setting up furniture. Of course, if this is your jam, this is a plus.

Mirsch from Amazon
How it works: John Frego, associate director of a website called MySupplementStore.com, says he sometimes makes money by creating T-shirt designs. Sell on Merch by Amazon as well as other platforms such as Redbubble.com.
Highlights: Frigo says you can simply upload your designs and get paid. "Graphic designers can upload T-shirt designs and at that point, it's pretty much completely negative, and you charge a royalty for every one of your selling designs - but you don't have to deal with returns, do any customer service, or ship anything," Frego says.
Flaws: Maybe you won't get rich. For example, Merch by Amazon offers examples of royalty prices, and for a T-shirt that sells for $15.99, royalty will be $2.21. However, once you finish the hard work - the design of the piece - the money becomes easy. If someone buys your shirt, that's it.
Time investment: Let's assume at least a few hours. Maybe you're an artist who can get the designs out quickly. Perhaps it takes weeks but for most people, logic may indicate that you should put a few hours aside. When you see your money, assuming you do a quick business selling your products, you can get paid once a month.
Neighbour
How does it work: Do you have storage space in your home? Or maybe an empty garage or a storage shed? You can rent these spaces on Neighbor.com, which is kind of like Airbnb for the self-storage industry. You set your own prices, and the person who rents your space will pay Neighbor.com service fees.
Highlights: You are paid by direct deposit, or you can get a debit card at the end of the month. There are some small fees raised from your payment to use Neighbor.com (processing fee of 4.9% of the total booking plus 30 cents per payment).
Defects: There is not much. But if you suddenly need to use your storage space, you should give the tenant 30 days' advance notice to receive their items. If you don't give them enough notice, you'll pay a $60 termination fee.
Invest in time: Plan at least a few hours to prepare to store someone's stuff, which may involve cleaning. You are paid about 30 days after the storage is provided.
View Up
How it works: If you don't have the energy to make a sale in the yard, OfferUp may be the next best thing. After taking a picture of what you have and pricing it, we hope someone close will see it online, love it, send you a note and you will meet - in a public place, as recommended by OfferUp - and you can get your money. OfferUp also offers ways to mail items to buyers.
Highlights: OfferUp is often compared to Craigslist, but some users claim it's an easier site to post, perhaps because if you download the app, you can send instant messages to buyers and sellers, and members have profiles, so you can get a better feel from buyers. Investing in time: maybe an hour or two of work, or the process may extend for days, depending on how long it takes to sell your item. You take some pictures, set the price, negotiate with the buyer and perhaps schedule a meeting to replace the item with cash. If you ship an item to a buyer, it will generally take about four to five days for the money to appear in your bank account.
Wonder
How it works: In Wonder, you can earn money to do research. But the wonder doesn't just employ anyone. The application process takes about five minutes, according to the website. And if Wonder thinks you have the skills to do the research, you'll have access to its dashboard. You can then display your skills and get paid for answering a question, perhaps from a business manager or author writing a book.
Highlights: Researchers reported making an average of $8 to $16 per detailed answer, and job sites indicate that researchers can, on average, make about $20 an hour. In short, Wonder offers a perfect party for those who really enjoy learning and explaining.
Disadvantages: As noted, the salary is not high, especially if you spend a lot of time answering questions.

ThredUp
How to work: With the slogan "Used clothing, direct pleasure", the eCommerce company appeals to these frugal types looking to earn money and sell chaos for money. The online savings store sells women's and children's clothing. You can send clothes in a ThredUp bag with a pre-paid mail label, ThredUp decides the value, prefer famous brands, and clothes in good condition. You will pay a fee if your items are not accepted, so keep a sale in the yard if your items experience better days. But if you have high-quality clothes, ThredUp enables you to sell these unwanted items and may pay you enough so you can buy new threads.
Highlights: The process is simple. ThredUp sends you a prepaid bag to put your clothes in, or a shipping sticker if you prefer.
Disadvantages: You won't get paid until your clothes are accepted by ThredUp. And if your items are not accepted, you pay a fee to recharge you - or recycle them.
Investing time: minutes, or as long as it takes to look through your wardrobe and navigate the ThredUp website.
Swap
How it works: Like ThredUp, Swap is an online shipping store. After sending used clothes, toys and toys, Swap will sell them to you. Ghazal
How it works: If you have an old mobile phone or another device like an iPad or computer, you can sell your electronic devices here. The website will offer you a cash offer for your device. If you agree, you will receive the packaging material. Gazelle pays shipping costs and waits for a check in the mail, gift card, or cash transferred to your PayPal account. You may not make a fortune, but this is better than allowing an unused device to collect dust on the shelf - and much better for the environment to sell than to throw it in the trash.
Highlights: It's a very smooth process from start to finish.
Flaws: If you send a phone, for example, and the phone does not meet Gazelle's expectations, the width of what it will pay may drop significantly. Gazelle, on the other hand, will send your phone for free. So you don't take much risk other than time.
